Michelle Doane has decades of experience in the education and nonprofit sectors. She is the owner and principal consultant of Doane Consulting LLC, which provides education and nonprofit consulting services across the country. Michelle specializes in areas including, but not limited to project management; strategic planning; program development and evaluation; charter school development; charter school authorization and evaluation; and school and authorizer quality.

Her clients have included the Walton Family Foundation, Joe C. Davis Foundation, Good Reason Houston, BES, Cleveland Metropolitan School District, Louisiana Department of Education, Indiana Department of Education, Maryland State Department of Education, Minnesota Department of Education, Ohio Department of Education, Tennessee State Board of Education, Tennessee Public Charter School Commission, Friends of Education, and Student Achievement Minnesota. She previously held roles at Vanderbilt University and the Tennessee Charter School Center.
