The Maryland Alliance of Public Charter Schools (“MAPCS”) is a nonpartisan, education nonprofit organization with a mission to enable the public charter school sector to thrive and advance the larger goal of ensuring all Maryland children and families have equitable access to a high-quality, innovative public education.

Naomi

Naomi Rubin DeVeaux, LEA Facilitator

Naomi Rubin DeVeaux lives in Maryland and is a partner at The Drexel Fund. Prior to joining in 2024, Naomi supported authorizers through the National Charter Schools Institute, facilitating the creation of performance goals and values-driven authorizing that capture school quality. Previously, she served DC families as an advocate for choice and a charter school authorizer. She began her career in education as an English teacher and literacy coach in traditional and charter high schools. She is DC Bilingual Public Charter School’s board chair and a board member of the Diverse by Design Charter School Coalition. Naomi is a graduate of Reed College and California State Long Beach, received a Fulbright scholarship and an Aspen-Pahara fellowship.
